Karnataka Association of Canberra, also referred to as KAC is a non-profit organization primarily aimed at networking for Kannadigas in Australian Capital Territory. It is incorporated in Canberra, Australia. KAC was founded in 2004, after Kannada speaking community leaders of the time envisioned a bright future for the Kannadigas of Canberra. On November 2010 KAC is a registered association, where office-bearers were elected.

Through our ‘Kannada Kali’ classes, we provide a platform for children to learn, read, and speak their mother tongue with pride and confidence.

Prasad originally from Nelamangala in Bengaluru Rural, has called Canberra home since 2010. A dentist by profession, he has been actively involved in the local Kannada community and is passionate about community service, bringing families together and encouraging participation. As President of the Karnataka Association of Canberra, he is committed to celebrating Karnataka’s language, culture and traditions, supporting local talent and engaging younger generations. Outside community activities, he is a cricket lover who also enjoys hiking and camping, reflecting his love for teamwork, nature, travel and outdoor experiences. |
